Nebulae

Some of the most beautiful astronomy photos are those of nebulae. The variety of form and color is infinite. Click here for Hubble photos.

Last week I finished several nebula paintings. I didn't try to copy particular nebulae. Who knows? With the infinite variety out there, whatever I painted might already exist.

But why all this beauty? If everything just happened by chance, shouldn't there also be grotesque forms and muddy colors? There must be a Creator who loves beauty, who is beautiful himself.

The Scriptures agree:

Psalm 27:10. One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.

Psalm 90:17. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us.

Would you please click on the little envelope icon below to send a link to this blog to your acquaintances? Only three days left for the publisher's sale of Adam's Astronomy. (I need better sales to recommend my next book to a potential publisher.) Many thanks for your help.
