Thirty years ago November 12, Voyager 1 passed close to Saturn. Nine months later, Voyager 2 followed suit. Voyager 1 is now beyond the solar system and Voyager 2 soon will be, but the information gained from them remains. A summary of that information is on this JPL page.
A 30-year-old video of the Saturn encounter seems primitive compared to the beautiful color images from Hubble we've become accustomed to. Still, it is worth seeing Voyager 1 flying by Saturn.
We easily become proud of knowledge gained. Better if our knowledge humbles us into acknowledging its smallness compared to that of the Creator.
Who has ascended into heaven, or descended?
Who has gathered the wind in His fists?
Who has bound the waters in a garment?
Who has established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is His Son’s name,
If you know?
